Our Purevision stove range is designed for a wide range of tastes, rooms and budgets. But which stove is best for you? In this article we look at a number of the most popular Purevision fires in the range, along with some notes on what type of room and tastes the fire tends to focus more towards.

Purevision PV5:

The PV5 is the smallest stove in the Purevision range. It has a 5kW output with a large glass window. Key benefits include:

* Powerful airwash to aid the clean burning of the stove
* Optional external air kit for direct connection to the outside
* DEFRA Exempt
* Optional stands or log stores
* Ecodesign ready

Ideal for:

The Purevision PV5 is ideal for those that want a traditional looking wood burning stove, whether that be with or without a log stove.

It’s design means it can look great in an inglenook fireplace or standing alone in a room. It’s more suited to smaller rooms, or rooms that have significant insulation, where a larger stove would produce a too greater heat output. Due to it’s smaller size, it is also ideal for those that may have a larger room, but would prefer a smaller stove for a wide range of reasons, and where heat output is not necessarily a vital feature.

Purevision PV85:

The Purevision PV85 is the largest stove in terms of heat output and size. Key benefits include:

* Huge glass window
* Adjustable feet
* Stainless steel single air control lever not only looks great, it is cool to touch
* Optional external air kit for direct connection to the outside
* Ecodesign ready

Ideal For:

The Purevision PV85 is ideal for very large rooms, and for those that need a lot of heat. With the much smaller PV5, we have mentioned it can be used in a small room (ideally), or a large room, if heat is not a priority. With this stove however, we would only recommend it in a large room, and a large room alone, as the sheer power output would very easily overheat a small room to an uncomfortable level.

The Purevision PV85 can be supplied with or without a log store, and so despite it’s size, is surprisingly versatile where you can fit it. This stove can look at home in both new and older properties. However, due to it’s heat output it tends to be fitted more in older homes, where insulation may not be at the levels found in new properties. Thats not to say larger new homes don’t have the PV85, as many do.

Purevision PVR Cylinder:

The Purevision PVR is a relatively new stove to the Purevision range. The PVR stove provides maximum stove exposure, from it’s curved fire window. The benefits of the PVR stove include:

* Panoramic view of the fire
* Schott Robax glass panel
* Heat range from 3.2 to 6.8kW
* Unique stove design
* Choice of high and low pedestal

Ideal For:

The Purevision PVR is more popular with customers looking for a stove to go in open plan living rooms and conservatories. The design of this stove is very modern, and therefore tends to look more at home in properties that are either newer, or have more of a contemporary look and feel.

The Purevision PVR will not usually fit into an inglenook or traditional fireplace with a high or low pedestal or a log store, and so will require more space than a traditional stove.

Purevision PV5W Gas Stove:

The Purevision PV5W is a gas stove, and has a traditional look and design. The benefits of this gas stove include:

* 81% efficiency
* Choice of short stand or log store as an optional extra
* Choice of beige or black glass liners in the fuel box

Ideal For:

This stove is ideal for those that want the convenience of gas but still have the look and feel of a more traditional stove. Ideal too if you just want to press a button and get warm! The look, design and size is very similar to the Purevision PV5 fire, and so can fit in all the places that it’s wood burning relation can.

Looks are also very similar too, although this gas stove does have a larger fire window, giving it slightly more of a modern look.
